John Beck was installed as the IESF President at the meeting held at the Institution of Civil Engineers on 9th March 2026. The photograph shows outgoing President Roger Venables congratulating John.
Highlights of John’s busy professional career include his being International Director of the Institution of Civil Engineers, Director General of the International Cotton Association and Chief Executive of the Church of England Diocese of Manchester.
John has a long association with the IESF (British Section), serving as its 79th President in 2011 and having acted as its Honorary Secretary for more than twenty years.
John has always been keen to ensure the maintenance of good working links with the British Section’s parent body in Paris, attending its Assemblée Nationale in 2011 and in developing good relationships with the officers at the French Embassy in London.
The Section looks forward to another successful year under his guidance.
