Who We Are
We are the British Section of Ingénieurs et Scientifiques de France (IESF). We were founded on 27 June 1919 by members of the British Army returning from the war who wished to maintain links with their wartime colleagues in France.
An informal society of engineers and scientists, giving equal importance to the quality of our technical activities and our fellowship.
We provide high quality lectures and technical visits on diverse engineering and scientific subjects, and the enjoyment of French culture and cuisine.
New members are always welcome. We are open to membership from like-minded people from all fields of engineering and science.
