Sydney Lenssen died in December 2025. Sydney was an aeronautical engineer by background, but was well known in the construction industry as the editor of Construction News and the founding editor of New Civil Engineer, the magazine of the ICE.
Chris Head died on New Year’s Eve 2025. Chris was an independent consulting engineer. He and his wife, Nancy, were founding members of the IESF Ski Group.
Chris Bakken died in April 2026 in North Carolina, USA. Chris was a chartered engineer who spent his career in the nuclear industry, both in Europe and the USA. He was the first recipient of the Sir Alcon Copisarow Medal.
